A: The State mandated PLPD (liability) insurance coverage with your Insurance company must be the required $100,000/$300,000 with $50,000 property. Customers must have Collision Coverage or LDW on the vehicle at all times. Deductibles cannot exceed $500 and SmartWay Auto Inc. must be listed as the Loss Payee on the policy. SmartWay Auto Inc. is NOT an insurance company and cannot offer Liability insurance. It is the customers’ sole responsibility to have Liability coverage.
Customers have the option to choose the Loss Damage Waiver Plan as a cheaper alternative to their insurance companies’ Collision Coverage. Keep in mind that the Loss Damage Waiver will only cover the vehicle in the event of a Total Loss after the deductible is paid. (See Loss Damage Waiver tab)
Both options have a built-in GAP coverage. If the account is current at the time of the loss and the deductible is paid to SmartWay Auto Inc. we will then waive any remaining balance after the claim has been paid to SmartWay Auto Inc. by either the Insurance company or the Loss Damage Waiver company.
Failure to maintain Collision Coverage or Loss Damage Waiver Coverage on the vehicle is a breach of the lease contract. Without the proper coverage, you will be responsible for all damage/loss to the vehicle and monthly payments will still be due by the due date.
A: You are responsible for keeping the leased vehicle in good working order. All maintenance and repairs to the vehicle will be at the customer’s cost, unless any warranty/service contract is applicable.
SmartWay Auto Inc. is not a dealer and does not repair vehicles.
A: Your lease allows for normal wear and tear. Any damages in excess of $500 may be charged to you at lease turn in. If you choose the buyout option at lease end, then any excess charges will not be applicable.

A: In the final month of your lease term, you will receive a Post Term options letter, which will require your response before the end of your lease. These 2 options are:
• Continue to make monthly lease payments until you have satisfied the Residual Value plus buyout fee and any applicable tax. The total amount will be in your Post Term letter. Once the amount is paid in full, SmartWay Auto Inc. will release the title to you.
• Turn in the vehicle at lease end along with a $200 disposition fee. You will call a SmartWay Auto Inc. representative to make an appointment to drop off the vehicle at your Champion dealer. The $200 fee will be paid directly to SmartWay Auto Inc. Choosing the turn in option may result in damage charges in excess of $500 as well as excessive mileage fees.
